SCHLOSS BOITZENBURG

We are happy to introduce you to Schloss Boitzenburg — a castle set between lakes and swampy landscapes, surrounded by old ruins, quiet paths, and trees that feel like they come from another time.

For one weekend, we will transform its halls, rooms, staircases, corners, and shared spaces into a full Magic festival experience. The festival will not happen in just one room — it will unfold across the building, with different spaces created for different parts of the weekend.

As you move through the castle, you’ll find old hallways, wooden staircases, quiet corners, heavy doors, and small details that make the place feel special. We invite you to take your time, explore the castle, and discover the hidden gems that will become part of the WUBRG FEST experience.

A historic castle near Berlin, transformed for a weekend of Magic, play, art, music, and discovery.

Festival Spaces

Different Rooms, Different Experiences

Across Schloss Boitzenburg, different rooms and shared spaces will be shaped into different parts of the festival. Some areas will be full of games and events, while others will be used for artists, music, smaller activities, and quieter moments between games. The castle is not just one space — it is something to move through, explore, and discover across the weekend.

Commander Hall

The Hall of Commander will be the home of open Commander play throughout the weekend — a place to sit down, join a table, and play at your own pace.

The Limited Hall

The Limited Hall will host Draft, Sealed, and special limited formats, with sign-ups and schedules available through the Events page and on-site.

Artist Zone

Meet illustrators and independent creators, explore prints, playmats, original work, and discover MTG-inspired art throughout the weekend.

Magic Discovery Room

An open free-play room with special decks, mini-games, unusual formats, and creative MTG experiences to explore throughout the weekend.

Small Activities & Hidden Corners

Around the castle, smaller formats, side activities, and little surprises will give you more to discover between the main events.

Food & Break Areas

At the top of the castle, a large food hall will be used for shared breakfast, dinner, and a light lunch during the festival. Between the main halls, you’ll also find the snacks and drinks bar, placed close to the event areas so you can easily take a break and recharge throughout the day.

The full festival layout will be shared closer to the event, so you can plan where to go and what to join.

A Castle with a Long History

Schloss Boitzenburg is one of the historic landmarks of the Uckermark. The castle was first mentioned in documents in 1276 and was originally built as a fortified site connected to the waterways and trade routes of the region. From the 16th century onward, it became closely connected with the von Arnim family, who shaped the castle and its grounds for centuries.

Over time, Schloss Boitzenburg changed with each era — from a medieval fortress to a noble estate, with later Baroque and Neo-Renaissance influences giving the castle much of its character today. Its history, architecture, old staircases, halls, and surrounding landscape all add to the atmosphere that makes the place feel so special.

How to Reach the Castle

Schloss Boitzenburg is located in the Uckermark region of Brandenburg, north of Berlin.

Arriving by car
The easiest way to reach Schloss Boitzenburg is by car. From Berlin, the drive usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on route and traffic. Parking and arrival details will be shared before the festival.

Arriving by train
If you are travelling by train, the best option will usually be to travel to Prenzlau or Templin.

From there, WUBRG FEST is planning a festival shuttle/taxi service to bring guests from the station directly to Schloss Boitzenburg. The exact pickup station, meeting point, shuttle times, and booking process will be announced closer to the event.

Regional bus connections
Boitzenburg is also connected by regional bus routes from the surrounding area. Because local bus schedules may be limited, we recommend using the festival shuttle/taxi option if you are arriving by train.
