WUBRG FEST 2027
We’re creating a unique space for people who love Magic: The Gathering — a place to play, explore, and enjoy the game in a setting that feels different from the usual.
WUBRG FEST is a three-day castle weekend at Schloss Boitzenburg near Berlin, built around gameplay, atmosphere, artists, special events, and the freedom to experience the weekend in your own way.
From open Commander tables to Draft and Sealed events, from artist areas to cosplay, food, and hidden corners around the castle, the festival is designed to feel like more than a regular event.
WUBRG FEST is also a full all-inclusive stay inside Schloss Boitzenburg — with accommodation, shared meals, snacks, drinks, games, events, and time to explore the castle all built into the experience.
The first edition is planned for around 200 participants, making the weekend large enough to feel alive, but small enough to keep the castle experience personal and focused. WUBRG FEST is created by Magic players, for Magic players — with the goal of building the kind of weekend we would want to attend ourselves.
Whether you come with friends, with your playgroup, or on your own, the weekend is made for people who love the game, the art, the atmosphere, and the experience around it.

WUBRG FEST is designed around the feeling of spending a full weekend inside the world of the game.
You can play Commander late into the night, join Draft and Sealed events, meet artists, explore the castle, take part in special moments, or just enjoy the community around you.
What You’ll Experience Over the Weekend
Play & Events
Play the way you like. Throughout the weekend, there will be Draft and Sealed events, special formats, and open Commander tables running at all times. Expect a mix of carefully selected sets, special draft formats, and Limited events designed to feel a bit different from the usual — from nostalgic picks to more experimental experiences. If you want to plan ahead, you can check the Events page and sign up for specific drafts and formats in advance.
Beyond the core gameplay, the festival will feature a range of additional moments across the three days. Join the Commander Cosplay Night — dress up as your favorite character, bring a themed deck, and take part in a casual showcase at the tables, or simply come by and enjoy the atmosphere.
Magic Discovery Room — an open free-play room with special decks, mini-games, unusual formats, and creative MTG experiences to explore throughout the weekend.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll be able to meet independent creators and illustrators showcasing their work — from prints and playmats to original pieces inspired by Magic: The Gathering and beyond. We want the artist area to be a place of discovery — not only for established creators, but also for smaller and emerging artists who bring fresh ideas, personal style, and passion to the MTG world.
Whether you’re looking to add something unique to your collection or simply explore another side of the game’s creative world, the artist area is part of the experience.

Artists & Creative Space
Franz Vohwinkel is one of the most recognizable German artists connected to Magic: The Gathering, with artwork that has been part of the game for many years and has become familiar to players across different eras of Magic.
His work appears on many memorable cards, including Tropical Island, Chrome Mox, Blood Moon, Oblivion Ring, Goblin Vandal, Ornithopter, Voltaic Key, Fire // Ice, and many more.
At WUBRG FEST, Franz will join us as a featured artist guest, with an artist table for signings, prints, and more. More details about his table times and possible program moments will be announced closer to the festival.

All-Inclusive Fantasy Stay
WUBRG FEST is more than a place to come and play for a few hours — it is a full weekend stay inside a castle.
Your festival experience includes accommodation at Schloss Boitzenburg, shared meals, snacks and drinks, event spaces, and time to explore the castle throughout the weekend. From breakfast in the food hall to late games in the halls, from quiet corners to evening moments, everything is built around spending three days fully inside the world of the festival.
The goal is simple: arrive, settle in, play, eat, explore, and enjoy the weekend without having to leave the castle grounds. Your room, the games, the food, and the atmosphere are all part of the same experience.

We’ve designed the festival to feel relaxed and welcoming, where players of all levels can find their place. There’s no pressure to compete — just the freedom to play and enjoy the festival together.
